Clinical case of acute pericarditis in a young patient

Abstract

Pericarditis is an inflammation of the visceral and/or parietal layers of the pericardium, which can be due to a variety of reasons. The clinician should be oncologically alert and remember that almost one in ten cases of pericarditis is due to a neoplasm. An example of this comorbidity is presented in the following clinical case.
