A study of the efficacy and tolerability of VITime® Aquastick® Cardio K + Mg in complex therapy of patients with cardiac arrhythmias

Abstract

Relevance. Numerous researches devoted to the study of the effect of electrolyte balance on the pathophysiological processes underlying cardio-vascular pathology study have confirmed the importance of correcting ion exchange disorders in patients with cardiovascular diseases. It is necessary to investigate the possibility of using the biologically active supplement VITime® Aquastick® Cardio K + Mg in patients with cardiovascular pathology, as well as in patients with hypokalemia and hypomagnesemia

The aim and objectives of the study. Evaluation the clinical efficacy and tolerability of treatment in patients with cardiac arrhythmias and/or hypertension as addition to standard therapy the biologically active supplement VITime® Aquastick® Cardio K + Mg based on potassium L-asparaginate and magnesium L-asparaginate, vitamins E and B1, presented in the solution. Our aim was also to study the etiology, frequency, severity of possible adverse events, their duration, connection with treatment and outcome and to confirm the presence of antiarrhythmic and cardiometabolic effects in VITime® Aquastick® Cardio K + Mg – when used as part of complex therapy.

Material and methods. The clinical study involved 50 volunteers with cardiac arrhythmia, the average age of the participants was 35.69±1.4 years, 38 (76%) of which were women and 12 (24%) were men. Before and after the end of the monthly dietary supplements VITime® Aquastick® Cardio K + Mg course all study participants underwent a cardiologist’s consultation, physical examination, laboratory tests (potassium and magnesium levels in the venosus blood), instrumental studies (electrocardiography, daily monitoring of the Holter electrocardiography), and their mood was also assessed according to the HADS scale. Statistically, the results were evaluated using the Student’s t-test and the Gauss distribution curve.

Conclusion. VITime® Aquastick® Cardio K + Mg is an effective dietary supplement to standart drug therapy in cardiological patients to maintain electrolyte balance and metabolic processes in the myocardium in such cardiovascular diseases as rhythm disturbances and hypertension. In addition, VITime® Aquastick® Cardio K + Mg can be used as a preventive agent for potassium-deficient and magnesium-deficient conditions.
