Increased cardiac troponins, not associated with acute coronary syndrome. Part 2

Abstract

In the 2nd part of the literature review we consider causes, mechanisms and diagnostic significance of elevated cardiac troponin levels in case of inflammation in the heart (myocarditis, endocarditis, pericarditis), cardiomyopathies and takotsubo syndrome, tachyarrhythmia, aortic dissection, cerebral vascular accidents, cardiotoxic drugs action. Considerable attention is paid to consideration of analytical and pre-analytical interference factors.
