4 years experience of the Pulmonary Hypertension Center in the Samara Region

Abstract

Pulmonary arterial hypertension is a chronic, progressive disease, associated with poor prognosis despite the numerous novel cure options. Such patients should constantly be under close follow up of a specialist who has appropriate knowledge on this disease. Development of the ambulatory service will help to identify the patient in the early stages of the disease or minimize the risk of complications. This article describes the experience of outpatient work of Pulmonary Hypertension Centre on the basis of the regional cardiologic outpatient clinic in the Samara Region.
