Atherosclerosis ethiology: dietary cholesterol (opinion on the problem)

AbstractIn this paper main historical landmarks of etiopathogenesis of atherosclerosis study by russian scientists and data collected by our foreign colleagues are briefly represented. Evidences, attest to the fact that dietary cholesterol is a risk factor for atherosclerosis are listed. However, it is necessary to conduct a clinical study that will confirm this theory and can become a base for creating low-budget accessible and scalable program for rehabilitation and prevention of cardiovascular diseases.
