Continuous veno-venous hemofiltration in a child with acute kidney injury in the postoperative period of cardiosurgical correction of congenital heart disease

AbstractAcute kidney injury is an important problem in pediatric intensive care. Increased duration of hospitalization, as well as high mortality rate are associated with this condition. Of particular importance is the treatment of acute kidney injury in children with congenital heart defects after cardiac surgery. This article presents a clinical case of successful use of continuous veno-venous hemofiltration in a child with acute kidney injury in the postoperative period following surgical correction of congenital heart disease.
