Thrombocytopenia in practice cardiology

AbstractIn the practice of a cardiologist it is necessary to observe patients with thrombocytopenia, when it is required to decide the need for correction of the conducted drug therapy, transfusion of platelet mass. However, the reason is not always know why the level of platelet decreases and needs clarification. In this article, we have written the main causes of thrombocytopenia. An algorithm is presented that will help a practicing cardiologist understand the causes of thrombocytopenia and find the tactics of managing the patient, because the decision about platelet transfusion depends on the clinical situation and the type of thrombocytopenia.
