Possibilities of candesartan in the treatment of arterial hypertension

Abstract

In the article one of the most important risk factors for cardiovascular system diseases development and progression is considered: arterial hypertension (AH). Its pathogenesis and history of treatment from the perspective of evidence-based medicine (which are represented in form of the most significant clinical trials review) are described in detail. General conclusion is that renin-angiotensin-aldosterone system blockers administration improve prognosis of patients with AH, and improve their survival rates.
