The fixed combination of ACEI with the antagonist of calcium and statin – the first polypill from positions of evidential medicine

AbstractIn this article, author discusses the features and benefits of the new fixed combination of ACE inhibitor with calcium antagonist and statin (Ekvamer) from the standpoint of evidence-based medicine. Described data concerning the effect on cardio - vascular risk of the individual components of the combination and the data on their safety and tolerability, as well as the arguments in favor of a fixed pill for integration into clinical practice.
