Vasospastic angina: medicinal or endovascular treatment?

AbstractVasospastic angina is quite common in the percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI)-centers practice. Vasospasm pathogenesis includes several mechanisms that are not fully understood. This form of coronary artery disease has specific clinical features, typical changes at ECG and Holter ECG. Treatment of vasospastic angina based on calcium channel blockers. There are some cases of patients resistant to drug therapy. In this paper the prevalence of spontaneous angina in PCI-center practice and characteristics of the patients are presented, indications for endovascular treatment are considered, the examples of medical and endovascular treatment are shown.
