Renal sympathetic denervation for treatment of patients with resistant hypertension

Abstract

Resistant arterial hypertension (AH) accelerates target organ damage and increases a risk of cardiovascular events. Catheter-based renal sympathetic denervation used for treatment of truly resistant AH during last years. In the paper authors discussed about efficacy, safety, limitations and potential beneficial effects of renal denervation.
