The effectiveness of the training program of patients with atrial fibrillation after a stroke in real clinical practice

Abstract

Patients with atrial fibrillation (AF) are a special group of persons of extremely high risk of development of a thromboembolic event, first of all a stroke. Patients with AF which had cardioembolic strokes have to be under close attention of specialists seeing of high probability of development of a repeated thromboembolic event and mortality. Tactics of medicamental antithrombotic therapy after cardioembolic stroke certainly demands correct approach on the one hand, taking measures to strict implementation of references of the doctor again. A research objective -to study compliance to anticoagulant therapy at patients from AF which had a stroke in the conditions of real clinical practice and to estimate efficiency of the training therapeutic programs referred on correction of risk factors of development of a repeated thromboembolic event.
The findings of our research represented the high efficiency of the training programs at «Stop Stroke» school for patients with atrial fibrillation in aspect of prophylaxis of repeated strokes. Rising of commitment to anticoagulant therapy is the fundamental moment of decline in mortality at patients with atrial fibrillation in real clinical practice.
